Guinevere shares a zombie-themed interactive music video for her new single, "Ran For My Life", where you can be part of the story by choosing how she kills the zombies attacking her. Guinevere talks exclusively to Glamoholic about the making of the video, the inspiration behind it and how she would develop the interactive concept in upcoming videos:
What was the inspiration behind the video? Why did you choose to go for a zombie concept?
After I recorded 'Ran For My Life', I sat down and listened to the finished song and visualized what I would do for a music video concept. The song has such a dark feel to it that the zombie idea just came to me. I started writing a full treatment for it and was able to make my vision come to life. I was fortunate enough to work with director Rage and he did an amazing job of capturing the story on camera.

What was the energy like on set? What was the most challenging part of making the video?
Filming took place from 7 am to 2 am the following day. The energy of the team was incredible. We had a fabulous crew on set and everyone was happy to be there and committed to make the video happen. The most challenging part was making sure we got every kill scene option shot from the right angles, because there wasn't much time for each take. We had to make sure everyone was on their 'A Game' as soon as the camera started rolling, and they were. I couldn't have done it without such an amazing team! I was very fortunate.
Why do you think is the zombie culture getting very popular recently be it on TV, movies and music videos?
I think the zombie culture is such a big thing because of the “Walking Dead” It is one of the biggest shows on TV, and was written and directed so well it has been a major influence on pop culture. I think people like imagining what the world would be like if we had to fight against something that isn't human. The question everyone asks themselves is would I survive? It's both exciting and frightening.

Are you going to develop this interactive concept into other products in the future?
The interactive video concept is definitely something I would like to use again in the future. I have a bunch of ideas floating around but it needs to come organically from the perfect song.
What's coming up for you?
You can find me in the studio writing and recording until the end of the year. I'm focusing on my music and writing about everything I've experienced in the past year. Creating the art is the most exciting part! Can't wait for 2014. It's going to be a big one….we’ll glam!
