“Through creating, I was able to see the fruits of my labor in real-time, and it made me feel so alive.” George Caceres opens up to Glamoholic about his journey in the entertainment industry, upcoming book which he hopes to be eye opening, what inspired him to be a fearless go getter!

George, how did you get started in the entertainment industry as a producer, and what made you pursue that as a career?
I started in the entertainment industry many years before I became a producer. My journey started at the age of 19 as a model. I educated myself in all facets of the business. I’ve worn many hats, from directing, to writing, to producing. I'm a creator at heart, that is what made me pursue this career. Ever since I was a kid, I was creating stories. As a teenager, I got heavily involved in photography. Through creating, I was able to see the fruits of my labor in real-time, and it made me feel so alive. As an entrepreneur, I've had many businesses outside of the entertainment industry, but I always found my way back. The industry, and the creativity around it, make me feel a sense of purpose.

As an entertainment business leader, what advice do you have for those hopeful musicians/actors seeking advice to break in the industry?
Be prepared and take charge of your career! Whether you’re an actor or a singer, you need to learn your craft. Make sure to have a current and professional social media presence and build up your resume and portfolio. Actors take lessons and have current headshots and reels. Singers learn how to write and record songs. Try and work with people in the industry who are hitmakers - keep in mind that anyone can name drop so it is important to do your research. If someone presents you with something that seems too good to be true, it usually is.
Networking is crucial! Who you know is more important than you realize. Connections are key so make sure you’re always prepared. You never know when you might find yourself in the right room at the right time. You also must have a great work ethic because nothing comes easy. If you don't take your career actions seriously, then how can you expect someone else to?

Back in 2019, you released your debut book “Do The Hustle: The George Caceres Method on Personal & Financial Freedom”. What made you want to write a book and what can people expect from it?
I wrote the book at a time in my life where I found myself reflecting back on all of the things I had accomplished, and I realized I could transcribe my “formula” for others to apply in their own lives. It’s a formula that worked in my family for 3 generations, all in different industries. My grandfather did it in farming, my dad did it in real estate, and I did it within the entertainment industry. I wanted to share my methods and real-life examples in hopes that telling my story and breaking down my methods, readers would feel inspired to pursue their dreams as well. What I never expected was for it to become the #1 best seller in a week. It feels great to give back what I have learned. I love helping people and watching them succeed, it gives me great joy.

Any plans for a second book?
Yes, I just finished my next book,  “Awaken Your Inner Star". I’m very excited about this book because it doesn’t only apply to career and financial success, it can be used in any situation. I hope it is eye-opening and helps people break the barriers that hold them back from achieving the things they want most in life. We are all unique, and once we are able to unlock our inner potential, we can do amazing things in this world.

Who inspires you?
I don't know if any particular person inspires me. Different people, and situations, have inspired me throughout my life.  I learned to be a fearless “go-getter” just by watching my dad overcome some of the worst adversities I’ve ever seen. I became a self-motivator, and through that, learned how to operate via inspiration and creation. I find inspiration in improving situations and creating business models that have never been done. I'm motivated to try and make a difference in everything I do. I also find inspiration when rooting and helping the underdog. I hope that through my work, whether a movie project or a book I am writing, it has the ability to help and inspire others to pursue their own dreams. For example, my movie “Pop Star” was about female empowerment and finding your voice in the world. If I can do it, then anyone can.

What do you think of when the word “Glamoholic” comes to mind?
When I think of the word "Glamoholic" I think of someone who is creatively driven and is up to date with the current trends. These people are trendsetters in film, fashion, and/or music, and want to make a difference by using their creative platforms to inspire others.
